El estoque opinion, october 2019
You're a fraud. You're a fake, an imposter, undeserving of the accomplishments you have.
We all have this voice in our head. The one that convinces us that our accomplishments never measure up to what we actually deserve. Especially at MVHS, this phenomenon of people feeling inadequate amidst their accomplishments runs rampant, with 66% of 366 students having felt the consequences of imposter syndrome at one point or another.
We may feel the effects of imposter syndrome in the classroom, as we age, in our extracurriculars, and more. Click through the links above to explore the different nuances of this issue.
